What We Build

Every Way to Shade an Arizona Backyard

Eight specialties, one local design-build crew — from a simple attached cover to a motorized louvered roof and a full outdoor kitchen, all engineered for the desert.

Why Chandler Pergola Co.

A Backyard Structure Is Only as Good as the Build Behind It

A big-box kit is sized for a mild climate. We design and engineer for our climate — the 115° heat, the UV, and the monsoon microbursts — and we carry the permit and HOA paperwork so your project is inspected, approved, and built to last decades.

More about how we work

Free On-Site Design

A designer measures your yard, learns how you want to use it, and shows materials and colors on the spot — no obligation.

Engineered for the Monsoon

Every structure is footed and connected to carry the 60–70+ mph microbursts our summer storms throw at it.

Permits & HOA Handled

We prepare the drawings, pull your Chandler building permit, and package the ARC submittal for your HOA.

Materials Built for Heat

Powder-coated aluminum, Alumawood and steel that won't warp, rot or fade the way wood does in the desert sun.

Warranty-Backed Finishes

Factory finish warranties on aluminum and Alumawood, plus our workmanship guarantee on every install.

One Local Crew

Chandler-based design-build — the same team designs, engineers and installs, start to finish.

The Backyard You Stopped Using

From Unusable Slab to Outdoor Room

Half the year, an unshaded Arizona patio is simply too hot to use. The right structure drops the temperature 15–20°F, shades the west wall of the house, and gives you a place to actually live outside — morning coffee, evening dinners, weekends by the pool.

  • Solid and insulated roofs block the radiant heat that bakes a bare patio.
  • Shade the hot side of the house and your AC works less all summer.
  • Add fans, lighting, a kitchen or a fireplace and the room works day and night.

Powder-coated aluminum, Alumawood and steel outperform wood here — they don't absorb moisture, so they won't warp, crack or rot between 115° summer days and monsoon humidity, and quality powder coating resists UV fade for decades. Wood looks great on day one but needs re-staining every 2–3 years in the desert sun.
Open lattice and standard solid covers typically start around $25 per square foot installed, while insulated solid-roof covers run up to roughly $40 per square foot. A 20x20 cover generally lands around $10,000–$16,000 depending on material and add-ons. We give a firm, itemized quote after a free on-site measure.
Most attached covers and any structure with electrical need a City of Chandler permit, and nearly every HOA requires ARC approval first. We prepare the drawings, engineering and color samples, submit the permit, and package the HOA request — you approve, we handle the red tape.
Once permits and HOA approval are in hand, a standard aluminum or Alumawood cover installs in one to three days. Plan on a few weeks of lead time for a standard build and roughly 6–8 weeks for a motorized louvered pergola or full outdoor-kitchen project.
Yes — outdoor kitchens are one of our specialties. Building the cover and kitchen together lets us coordinate the gas, water and electrical rough-in and the permits in one project, and add screens, misters, fans and heaters so the space works nearly year-round.
